1 day park shoebill – Bussi Island tour
Bussi Island is located in Wakiso District, Central Region Uganda. The island is only about 8 kilometers from Entebbe Nakiwogo landing site and can be reached within 25 min by speedboat. It is in the vicinity of Entebbe international airport and has a great view of the Entebbe peninsula. Bussi Island is home to Mabamba Bay which is categorized as an import birding area.
The island is home to over 200 birds’ species with several tree species and other flora, the marsh buck, a rare swamp dwelling antelope is one of the animal species that can be found in the Mabamba swamp where you experience nature at its best. It’s also a home of mouth-watering adventures. The park has a collection of endless activities that check your physic which include zip lining towards the lake, Zoe ball, bird watching, private camping, nature walk, sport fishing and high rope courses.
ITINERARY
Departure from Vijana offices and transfer to park shoebill – Bussi Islands
Our company guide will pick you up from Vijana offices with a transfer to Nakiwogo Entebbe and a 25 min boat ride to park shoebill- Bussi Island. On arrival you will be welcomed with a check in at the park and have a welcome drink. Then later on, get a guided tour around the park as you are taking pictures.
Bussi Island exploration in details
The park Guide will take you to visit all the important places around the park while sharing information about the history and cultural significance of each spot. The Guide will also help you locate birds, primates, butterflies and other wildlife species as you walk through the forests in the island. Then after we shall have lunch. Take as many photos as you can of the island and whatever you do there are several other activities that will be involved in and they include boat cruising, Primates viewing, Zip lining, Zoe ball, Ropes course and Boat Rowing
Departure to Kampala in details
After all the picked activities, you will take a boat ride back to the mainland in Nakiwogo Entebbe then you will transfer back to Kampala.
